On January 27, FNC Entertainment announced, “FT Island successfully ended the first Europe-North and South America tour titled 2015 FT Island FTHX Tour in Mexico on January 26.”
The concert sold out tickets to all 4,000 seats, gathering fans from not only Mexico but from Argentina as well. Some of the male fans were also seen wearing clothes that said ‘Primadude,’ which represents the male version of the official fan club ‘Primadonna,’ as they stayed up throughout the night.
The concert began with Choi Jong Hoon playing a sentimental song on the piano. It was followed by Lee Hong Gi and Lee Jae Jin’s vocals and Choi Min Hwan’s powerful solo drum playing, showing their various charms.
The fans not only sang along to the hits Stay, Freedom, Shinin’ on and Beautiful, but they also prepared a placard event with the message ‘No olvides que nos volveremos a encontrar’ (which translates to don’t forget that we will meet again) when the group sang On My Way.
Lee Hong Gi said, “I’m so amazed by how well you know our songs. I’m happy that we are able to let you listen to the music that we like through a concert. We’re preparing for a new album and we will present some awesome music for you, so please anticipate.”
When the fans continued to cheer loudly even after the encore performances, he returned to the stage and said, “Mexico is really the best. We will return for sure. Thank you,” as he bowed his head.
FT Island will continue 2015 FT Island FTHX Tour in New York on January 29 and Los Angeles on January 31.
